I've never met a person who didn't like popcorn. When the smell of popped corn starts escaping from the kitchen, someone will invariably appear to nab some of it. This recipe adds flare to the already irresistible, with a flavour addition that should delight even the staunchest classic-recipe fan.  It’s good to mix it up sometimes.

Makes about 8 cups of popcorn

How it's made

3 tbsp vegan margarine or oil


Place all ingredients in a large pot, over medium heat, and cover it with the lid. The kernels will start popping after a few minutes. Listen carefully, and once the popping stops remove the pot from the heat.

½ cup popcorn kernels

3 tbsp Ranch Seasoning Mix from Ranch Dip recipe


Place ⅓ of popped corn into a bowl and add ⅓ of the seasoning. Place another ⅓ of the popcorn into the same bowl, and add another ⅓ of the seasoning. Finally place the rest of the popcorn into the bowl, and the final ⅓ of the seasoning. Mix everything until the seasoning covers all of the popped corn.

Helpful tips

Best eaten while fresh, but it can be kept in a ziplock bag for up to 3 days.
